Why We’re Giving Back

Mental health awareness is deeply personal to me.

Outside of The BTRFLY Nest, I work as a Medical Care Coordinator and also have worked to support women and girls in a residential program, where I seen every day how important compassion, support, advocacy, and access to mental health resources truly are. I am also a Behavioral Analysis student at Savannah State University, and my education continues to shape the way I understand healing, behavior, and the importance of community care.

The BTRFLY Nest has always been about growth, transformation, softness, and becoming — and this month, I wanted this brand to pour back into something meaningful.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, a portion of every order will support NAMI and the work they do to provide advocacy, education, and support for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges.

The Btrfly Nest was founded by Kiana Walker, a creator whose work is rooted in transformation, intention, and elevated self-care. What began as a personal search for safer, cleaner-burning candles quickly evolved into something deeper after a store-bought candle unexpectedly exploded in her home—shifting her from consumer to creator with a purpose.In the midst of life’s transitions, candle-making became more than a craft—it became a form of grounding. A quiet space to slow down, reset, and create moments of peace. What started as something just for herself and her loved ones soon grew into a brand built on meaning, care, and experience.Inspired by her daughter, lovingly called her “baby butterfly,” The Btrfly Nest embodies the beauty of growth, softness, and becoming. Each candle is thoughtfully designed with premium ingredients and a refined aesthetic—created not just to scent a space, but to transform it.
